About the Payments and e-money edition

E-money institutions, payment institutions and registered account information service providers promoting to consumers and small businesses. BCOBS 2.2.1R requires a firm or other provider to take reasonable steps to ensure a communication, financial promotion or payment service or electronic money promotion is fair, clear and not misleading. The Consumer Duty communications rules in PRIN 2A.5 also apply to retail customers.

The FCA does not set a template for a promotions register. This pack is a practical structure built on FSMA s21, COBS 4 and FG24/1. Read the financial promotions guide or see the compliance monitoring master pack, which includes a financial promotions review.
